Accesory Power Problem

1998 Wrangler TJ. Went to replace stereo and now accessory power is inop. Fuel gauge, interior lights, stereo power, alternator gauge, temp gauge. Headlights work. Cluster backlight works. Removed cluster and cleaned terminals. Checked fuse f17. Driving me nuts. Anyone have a suggestion?

you will hate this but DO NOT modify electrical systems. The modern systems with CAN lines do not like modifying, between serial #s and programing and compatibility issues I often advise DIYers against it.....

I will look at diagrams to try and help. Quick qestions - is CEL on? and do you have a scanner?
