My Liberty is 10 years old now with just under 80k miles on it & the a/c doesn't cool as efficiently as it once did. I'm inclined to service it myself instead of taking it in to a shop & was considering doing it with one of the latest crop of new refrigerant charging cans that you can buy at any auto parts place.
What's the opinion of those of you that are knowledgeable about doing this? Can doing it yourself screw up the balance between refrigerant & lubrication or are the modern self service recharging canisters much improved these days & pretty much foolproof?
Also, is there some sort of cabin filter on the 2006 model that is replaceable or removable for cleaning?
Thanks.....
