well for now i have some lift shackles and some freakin' spacers, and to be totally honest, i feel like white trash every time i drive it. i hate the way shackles look, but it gave me a good stance and added clearance that i really needed since i was scraping when i hit bumps w/ my tools in the back. i'm looking for anything 2-5, really. anything that's considered an upgrade.

Well you can make your own leaf packs with Dodge Dakota springs as leaf donors. You can get used coils on ebay or through the forums, TJ front springs will work, but they will net 1" less than they do for a TJ. Front Grand Cherokee springs add 1".
example, TJ 4" coils will net you 3" on your XJ
GC 4" coils will net your XJ 5".
New coil springs can be bought for $100 a pair on up.

I suggest building your own spring packs, find a set of MJ springs (more arch than an XJ as the MJ is SUA) and make a long add-a-leaf for each spring pack. This will net a few inches of lift without the harsh ride associated with short add-a-leaves.
