RE: Almost crashed suspension help needed ASAP
I have a 93 Cherokee with the 4.0 HO motor, 153K miles. I've been living with the piston slap/lifter noise for some time and was pretty much OK with just lettingit go since it runs fine otherwise. But lately I've noticed a sound that reminds me of an old 74 Ford LTD I used to drive after they phased out the high test and I'd get those ping-pong balls under the hood under load because of the lower octane. So far it only happens on an uphill grade when I'm pushing it kinda hard.
I'm wondering if this sounds expensive to anyone else besides me?
