92 xj laredo--steering, oil pressure, tire wear.

i have several problems with my Jeep:
It is a 1992 XJ Laredo.

Upon idle, my Jeep Cherokees oil pressure drops from 40 to 20. when I'm driving it, its fine. Only on idle. theres no significant oil leak.

Right now I'm also having a problem with the idle--it wants to shut off when I'm stopped, even when i put it in park or neutral. i rev it up to keep it from dying, but even when i do that the rpms drop. when im acually driving it the rpms drop, too, or when im stopped and i start to go again, it wont move for a few seconds, seems to catch it with itself, and then lurches forward. this is when i have my foot on the accelerator for the required amount it takes to pull away from a stop. im not slamming the gas or anything.

my steering is also very loose, and the steering linkage pops frequently. my ac is no longer cold--can i recharge that myself or will i need to take it to a shop to get them to do it?
also, i have 31 12.50 tires--the front ones are practically bald and the back ones' tread is almost new. any ideas?

thanks.
