'88 Wagoneer - Oil in air cleaner

I have an '88 Wagoneer with the 4.0 L inline 6. There is oil in the air cleaner. One mechanic thought he fixed it - but it is still a problem. Any suggestions?

Learn as much as you can about the CCV (closed crankcase ventilation) system and make sure it's working properly. The CCV generally consists of a vacuum line from the valve cover to the intake manifold where crankcase gases are burned via the intake. The second line is a fresh-air line from the valve cover to the airbox, it's where the crankcase pulls fresh air from the airbox. Pull this line and make sure it is sucking into the valve cover. If it's not, there is a collapsed line or plugged orifice in the line somewhere.

Thank you for the reply. After my earlier post I read posts with similiar problems and solutions. I purchased some needed parts today and will install tomorroe.

Thanks again for you informative reply.
