I have an 88 Cherokee it idles fine when you give it gas in park it revs up sometimes popping in the throttle body. When the vehicle is in drive you can get it up to 25mph maybe but if you give it to much gas or put the pedal on the floor it cuts out it will stall all the way out if you hold the gas down. I have replaced the TPS, spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, distributer cap, and rotor.

Any Ideas

Have you properly adjusted the TPS with a voltmeter or diagnostic computer?

I have not does it tell how to do that in a chiltion or Haynes Repair Manual i don't have mine in front of me?

I adjusted the TPS i am still having the same problem. Even in park if you push the pedal down with any speed it will cut out. It sounds good at idle.

MAP sensor vacuum line leak, broken or plugged in the wrong hole at the TB (should be in the bottom I believe). It will idle but you can't really drive it much.
Do an ohm test on your CPS. I had one that would only act up hot and did just about what you describe.
