88 Cherokee 2.5 Reman Engine... No Start... No Spark...

So i recently installed a engine i purchased from Gearhead. I have all new plugs, plug wires, cap/rotor, ICM. I checked the spark from spark plug to ICM.

The plug going to ICM has (3) wires 12v, Ground and tachometer/signal. The only thing i thought was strange was that the signal stayed solid instead of pulsing as i crank.

Checked CPS for power and AC continuity and tried reseting the ECU.

Anyone have any ideas?

Is it spinning with no firing or is it firing just not catching?

Have tested and verified you have spark?
Have you tested and measured fuel pressure with key on?

Verify the distributor is clocked properly not 180 out.

It is spining the fan just not sparking. I did verify no spark with a spark tester.

But i will redo TDC timing with distrubtor in the morn

Ok you have no spark. Track the signal back. A rotor? Coil wire firing? Power to the coil? Signal to the coil? crank sensor not damaged?

Ok did all that and checked out.

One thing i found strange is the vehicle headlight/taillights are not coming on. They worked before...

Maybe they are electrically linked?
