So I ran across the deal of a lifetime....its an 1982 Jeep cherokee fullsize for well.......lets say about the cost of a keg of beer haha. But I would like some help on IDing some things before I buy it.
It looks like an AMC 20 rear-end with a D44 front. It has the locking hubs on the front so I'm guessing it has a NP208 Tcase? The Tcase shifter is under the seat. It has the 258.....I beleive, its a 6cylinder. So what might the trani be?
It is an excellent deal on a FSJ that the guy just lost interest in and wants out of his yard. The body is straight. He said the motor runs but as carb. problems. I had a YJ with the same problem.....could this also be the infamous Carter Carb.? thanks for the help
