Has anybody dealt with these guys? It seems to good to be true, and we all know how that usually turns out. Anyhow, I have decided once and for all on a lift, RE 5.5 Extreme Duty. That in combination with my factory Rubicon wheels and 315-75-16 MTR's to keep a somewhat factory look. 4x4groupbuy.com has the lift for less than $1700. What else is needed, a new driveshaft? Also, anybody in the southern Indiana area know of a good 4x4 shop to do the install? Thanks to all who respond with good info, my last post got knocked off track by an individual who apparently is in the 3rd grade.

I got my 4.5" RE lift from Mesa 4X4 out of NM through a group buy type of thingie. It was much cheaper than anywhere else, and the only drawback was that it took about 3-4 weeks to receive. About 2wks to get to Mesa, and then almost another 2wks to get to mi casa. But if saving $$$ is worth your wait...go nuts. And yeah...SYE and CV driveshaft are recommended.[addsig]

Natty,
Thanks for the info. How do you like your RE lift? Also, I thought that the 2003 Rubicon did not need the SYE due to the Roc-Trac t-case. Maybe I'm wrong. What am I looking at cost wise on the CV driveshaft and where to get it? Thanks again

Wasn't sure about the SYE...but I guess you can scratch that from the list...save some cash there. I have a '94 YJ...quite different from yours, but the RE lift has been a solid performer so far for me...so if the quality is the same for your model...go for it. I got all my stuff from Mesa 4X4. (mesa4x4.com...talk to Jay if you visit that site). The driveshaft was about $300 new. You can always check ebay too. Good luck and post some pics when you are finished. Then again if your plans for your Jeep are like mine...it will never be "finished." :p [addsig]

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the good info. I'm checking into the install part of the lift now. I don't have the time or place to do it so looks like that will be another $400 or so. How will the factory 4.10 gears do with the 315-75's (35's)? May have to look into lower gears soon. Thanks again
