4wd busted

Well my 4wd isn't workin, I jacked up all four tires and in 4L the front tires don't turn, the front driveline spins and locks up fine, I plan on checking the axle shafts first, any other ideas? Never done it before

Sounds like your front axle isn't locking in....there is a vacuum actuator in the axle that is often a problem...it's next to the diff...check the vacuum lines to it.

I fixed it, I gutted out my entire front axle except the diff. gears to find the problem and the last thing we took out was the actuator and turns out the seal to the hoses on it was bad and the hose to the canister in the bumper was disconnected, after we fixed those two we couldnt even move the shift fork with our hands it locked up great, thx for the help
