ok here is my problem. At one point i thought it would be cool to put a sb chevy motor in my comanche. Big mistake. now im trying to go back to a 4.0. my issue is that my truck is a 89 and i have a 91 h.o. motor im trying to put in it. when i pulled this motor i pulled the wiring harness n computer also. the harness plugs right in to my bulkhead but it seems to be wired differently or something. the motor wont crank with the key and coil and distributor has no power. also the headlight bright indicator on the gauge panel is on all the time and if i turn my head lights on, they only work on low beam. i click it over to high and they turn off. i also have a old 258 motor laying around. would it just be easier to swap this motor in or does the trans use motor sensors to know when to shift. im lost in what i should do. please help
