360 Vaccuum lines

I have a 360 from a 77 Wagoneer. Just to the passenger side of the oil filler tube on the block is a nut with two vaccuum lines coming out of it (opposite the temp guage probe). Does that fitting go into a water jacket?

I've got an aftermarket temp guage I'd like to use to troubleshoot some temp issues I've got, but it will not fit in the factory probe location. So, I'm wondering if there's a different water jacket I can put the probe in.
