ok so now ive gone through my second rear end in 2 months... afterthe stock one gave away i thought putting 4.88'sand a posi in would help... IT DIDNT! Now should i just drop the bank and get a dana 60? I am pretty set on it now im gonna get the 60 but i wanna know who from... currie?dana?dynatrac? gimme some feedback on whos is the best in your opinion. WHICH 60 WILL GO TO HELL AND BACK?PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

what heppend to it first of all, and what kinda is it.... if u really want a custom 60 you are lookin at like 2k-3k, i would try to find one out of a junked 3/4 or 1 ton truck

i bought my jeep used about a year ago... the guy i bought it from had 35's on a stock 35 axle! i know its possible but not for a long time so thats how the stock dana 35 went up. after that i replaced it by putting 4.88's front and rear and a posi so that it would handle some moderate wheeling and stuff. long behold that i rendered that rear end helpess also. i have the stock automatic-transmission, stock 30 front except the 4.88s. now that i ahve no rear end again, i ahvedecided to buy a brand new 60 from either currie or dynatrac. money is no issue because i have a loving grandmother but i will eventually pay her back so i dont wanna dig a hole 2 deep. so now im gonna get the 60 w/ 4.88's and prolly a detroit locker

the posi didnt help anything stay togeather in the second axle..... i would not go all the way to a 60.... i would go 44 or a big bearing 9" w/ 31 spline shafts, the 60 is overkill in your application.... in fact the 9" is probably overkill.... but its your grandmothers money...

true i think it is overkill but... i will never have to worry about the 60 breaking.. and if i break that 60 i should be shot in the head because you ahve to do something really wrong to break a 60

I´ve got a narrow 60 in the driveway, I´m gonna use on something someday. Just one problem, with the 1 ton brakes on it, it wieghs just about the same as a Chevy V-8. I might be exagerating a bit, but not much. The last time I moved it, it took four people to lift it, onto the dolly and was still a strain. It´s probably more than double the wieght of the 35C.
