2012 Jeep Liberty Oil Indicator will not reset

Reset 2012 Jeep Liberty Oil Indicator light

Anyone out there have the same problem:

Resetting 2012 Jeep Liberty Oil Indicator light

Went through method multiple times on different days - still there - dealer 1 1/2 hour way

checked owner's manual again - done right

ignition on
depress gas pedal slowly three times, turn off

Last time had to diconnect battery to reset. Tried it this time but it somehow knew what I was up to and would not reset.

Problem fixed

winter thick floormat extended under gas pedal

this would not let the gas pedal go all the way to the floor

- thus not resetting oil indicator light
