2.5l Engin Stalls

I have a 91' YJ with a 2.5l eng. Everytime i'm on the road and press the clutch to change gears the RPM goes way down and wants to stall. After a little while the jeep does stall and seems flooded. Then I must let it sit there for about 30 mins before it starts over again!!!

Does anybody have any ideas?

sounds like it could be the fuel filter loading up or a problem with the idle setting - but the 30 min wait makes it sound like a packed fuel filter...change it (they're cheap) and see if it helps - my old 91 sahara did that but it ran rough + wanted to stall... hope it helps...

check the o-ring around the fuel injector. I was just having the same problem. I took the air intake off to watch the injector and found fuel on top of the injector and leaking around the sides of the injector. I replaced the upper and lower o-rings and problem went away. hope this works for you
