Can anyone identify the above attachment ? It is a line from the above referenced vehicle that was removed from my last 134a retrofit . I used a replacement line from a 95' XJ 134a factory system which uses an updated dryer and low pressure switch . The upgrade was a good idea as if a switch goes , you won't have to discharge the system just to change the switch .
I am wondering if this part (valve?) is necessary for better performance , but if not included on a factory 134a system , then why bother , I thought . My system works but wondering if anyone knows anything about this part as my Chrysler shop Manuel does not reference it at all . What is it ? What does it do ? Anyone ?
