RE: Another @$%^%^$# brake question

Welcome to Jeepz.com. You may want to be a little more specific than just 'What can I do to it'? That question is way to broad as the possibilities are nearly endless with jeeps.

As for lift, go with a 3" or 4.5" lift to keep things realistic, and to easily clear those 31" tires. Check out www.rustysoffroad.com .

What to do to it... Maintain it well, change your fluids, and keep everything well running. Take it on the trail, and have fun! Wheel it to the max, and if you see an obstacle, give it hell and let the trail know that you are the boss... Respecting, of course, the integrity of the environment...

As for mods and such, can't help ya there... Well, except for this. If you are to be wheeling it, front and rear tow-points... Front can be a grille guard, or just hooks, rear can be a rear reciever, or just hooks... Whatever the case, these are pretty important to have so if/when you get stuck, you can be recovered with ease to do it all over again. They may not be the fanciest mods, but they're really quite handy...

Welcome to Jeepz, hope you stay with us, and post often.

Sssshhh... There's no evidence to prove that!

RE: Axel "wrap"

For just street driving you're probably experiencing some rubbing of those 31's over bumps. A 2" "Budget boost" lift will cure that. They are pretty inexpensive.

If you plan on doing any offroading as well, the link Bounty Hunter provided would be a good source for looking into 3" or larger lifts. Rusty's makes decent quality products at a very reasonable price. I'd give them a call as they will help explain the options.

I have a little over 4" on mine for 31" tires and I like it, but 3" is the least you'll want for any type of trail riding.

Congrats on your Jeep purchase and welcome to Jeepz!
