Obviously SS won't rust, and is very strong. If you drive during the winter months where there is salt on the roads, SS might not be a bad idea. I store my Jeep during the winter, so I just used grade 5 hardware, and it works just fine. Just a footnote, if you do go with SS bolts, don't use grade 5 nuts. Keep everything SS to avoid galling of the threads.
