I ordered some 15X10 and 4.50 backspacing rims for my TJ and the guy at the shop said they would be in by now. Of course today he calls back and says that he got them but they were 15X8s.He also said that you couldnt run a 15X10 rim on an 00 TJ.I have never heard that you couldnt run them.If you cant then why not? Also would 15X8 be alright for running 35X12.5X15 tires?Im getting so frustrated w/ him i am tempted to just get the 15X8s.Also have any of youu ordered soem 15X10 or 15X8 rockcrawler style(black) rims on line and where did you buy them from.I couldnt find any like i wanted so i had to settle for a little different style but if the 15X8s will work i might be able to find some online.[addsig]

Haven't ordered the rockcrawlers... yet, but i was thinkin about doin it one of these days. J/W how much you bought them for. As for the width, i think that with a 12.5 in wide tire, you could go either 8 or 10 inch, but 8 inch wide rims will hold the bead tighter, and give you more bulge at lower air pressures for greater traction. Put a lot of stress on that "I think" though

I used to work at a tire center and the 8 inch rims should work. They rims are on the small end of the size spectrum but they should work. Another benefit to having a small width rimis that your tire will bulge out and that will also help prevent sidewall punctures. Its up to you, wider wheels will look 'cooler' if you like a wider looking tire/wheel combination.

Hope that helps-[addsig]

They'll work just fine. You'll have to run slightly lower air pressure than you would with the 10" rim, or you'll wear down the center section of the tread quickly.[addsig]

This site may help... you select your vehicle, then the wheels you want. It will have a lilttle check next to the wheels that fit. You can also adjust the color of your vehicle and ride height... if you want to prove a lowered jeep looks like an aborted cow fetus, go here! Now you can!!!
