Wow! Where do you guys keep all this stuff? I just keep a flashlight, gloves, and a plastic tub with 4x4 gear (jack, straps, tools) that I add/remove after wheeling. Around here, if the top is off people think everything inside is free for the taking.

I am replacing my water pump and am wondering if NAPA brands are ok. The MOPAR one is like 4x as expensive, so looking for a quality aftermarket, even though many suggest ponying up for the Mopar brand. Anyone have experience with a good Aftermarket Brand?

My understanding is they are NOT direct swaps. The spline counts are different on the input shafts. From what I have read it is a major PITA

Don't mean to thread jack, but I am thinking about doing my belt. My current one looks ok, but the NAPA guy told me that they don't crack anymore, so he gave me this gauge to check the depth of the belt grooves. Anyone heard of this?

What pump did you finally go with?

I check your rear differential fluid level. I am by far from a gear expert, but some of that sounds like clutch packs could be going. I would also add to the U-joint hypothesis. It could be something frozen up in one. Cheap to replace...
