I've got the x15 transmission 231 transfer case motor mounts.... Can I use any straight six motor from any year jeep as long as I get the same CPU and wiring harness?? Jst tryin to see how that works

I have a 97 tj and I'm about to buy an auctioned donor for it. I'd like to change out the interior dash speaker plstic covers glove box seats etc. Do I have to get another 97 or is there any other years that i can get that will wrk.... Thank you
