Any leads would be great. I lost 3rd gear, and my transmission guy is talkin a grand to rebuild it!!!!

I lost 3rd gear yday. Lookin for a easy direct swap. I have a 73 CJ5 w. an Amc 360. Now i do have a T-18 outta a 76 Cj 7. Any idea how hard this swap would be? Or what problems would follow it?

I live in the Dayton area... im dying to drive it, but with this weather, its just sittng there taunting me.... lol!

Just bought a `73 CJ5 less top... needless to say, cold in Ohio... any leads appreciated.. looking for used as new is too pricey at the moment...
