    waggy springs under a yj

I had already moved my hanger mount to the bottom of the frame. The wagoneer springs being 1" longer don't really affect it that much.

    waggy springs under a yj

No, I was going to on the rear because of a interferance with the hokey receiver hitch that was previously installed. Got rid of the hitch and going to build my own bumper and the interferance is gone. Now that I have redone my spring packs the gas tank clearance is much improved. Plus the...

Puzzling engine symptoms on '91 4.0 manual YJ

Possible vacuum leak, as your excelerating through 1-2 you are in a low vacuum state. Then as you get up around cruise your engine starts to build vacuum. By staying on the gas you are maintaining a low vacuum state thus minimizing the miss. So I would look for a vacuum leak, specifically...

    YJ won't start

If it runs in the start position but dies as soon as you let go the key, I would look at the ignition(key) switch. Some when they go bad will not get good internal connection and thus no power it the ignition circuit when in the running position. But it will have good contacts while in the...

    add a leaf recommendation

I am doing a wagoneer spring swap in mine and used springs from a 95 yukon to beef up my saggy springs. They are much longer so you can get full support under your current main leaf and just cut it to fit. Also heard of guys using explorer and s-10 springs mixed in with their yj springs. You...

    Locker, front or rear?

I'm going against the grain on this one. FRONT first: 1) in soft terrain the front will help pull you through. A non locked front will tend to push snow and mud. 2.) having the front will help your jeep pull over a obsticle 3.) there is a lot of weight directly over the front axle for...

    waggy springs under a yj

Today I went a bought more leaf springs, rear springs from a Yukon. The waggy springs were flat when loaded. So I made my own pack using the main leaf from yukon that extends past the eyelets of the waggy main leaf. Then two more yukon leafs and two waggy leafs on the bottom. I will get the...

94 YJ / Need help from the pros

Price is way high, especially without axle upgrades( lockers, gears, ect...) Also that lift is way high. If you buy it lose the body lift, trim fenders if needed and correctly set up the bump stops it will greatly improve that jeep. Good luck555

    waggy springs under a yj

Got my new(used) waggy springs installed in the front. With the springs and adjustable perches it should net 3" forward. Also the waggy springs were about the same height as the lift pack that was already installed. My drag link is where I notice the push forward the most. I might have to...

This was our third event in this area. In the last 14 months it has been amazing the changes that have been made with the hard work of few. During this event we had geocachers from the Walla Walla area treck over to help with the hard work. We nearly filled the large dumpster that BLM...
