Well if you're dead set on keeping a 2wd instead of 4wd, which is fine, you could go for a fast jeep and super/turbocharge it or put nitrous on it. I have a 2000 lifted Cherokee and I'll be putting a cummins in it after college, so you could do an engine swap as well. Just have fun with it...
