    Struggling with the 2100 swap

I am pretty certain that the rebult carb that was sold to me one ebay has been redone with a defective rebuild kit. The float will not activate fuel cut off and gas is leaking into the carb. This is causing it to NOT stall when the idle mixture screws are both turned all the way in. It...

    Struggling with the 2100 swap

I bought the Motorcraft 2100 kit off Ebay. We installed it and it ran 99% perfect. But I thought I had an air leak at the carb base so I removed everything. Bought better gaskets and reinstalled. Now it will start up and stumble a bit, I will give it gas and the idle will smooth out. I have the...

    Questions about the 2100 swap

I ordered the Ebay 2100 carb swap. I have it installed and have the work far enough that I can start and let it idle. It really sounds a million times better! I need to do some more before a test drive though. I was wondering for those that have done how do you deal with you 4wd vaccuum? The...

    I got an electrical problem

Ok I spent many hours tracking down wires today in this thing. I discovered that the wire I have that is getting hot is running from a splice just over the valve cover a bit towards the drivers side. There is roughly 7 or so yellow wires spliced together. Thsi wire however is red and goes from...

    I got an electrical problem

Well the odd thing is that its the section in the middle that is hot. The wires spliced on each end are not getting hot. It is also not fused to anything. Man I hate electrical. I worked for months on one of my MR2's trying to track down a problem. I am not really into that again lol

'89 YJ No Power to Choke....does this make sense?

Perhaps I am not right calling this part the oil sending unit. The guy at napa said it was called a "light switch" in his computer. But it deffinetly measures the oil in some way. It is round has two prongs for the gray plug and the other end is threaded and goes into another part on the block...

'89 YJ No Power to Choke....does this make sense?

I am not sure. All I know is that if voltage does not get from one side of the gray connector to the other through this switch...or by using a jumper wire then there is no voltage to the choke. There will also be no power to the relay connection with the blue and white wire. I will go to NAPA...

'89 YJ No Power to Choke....does this make sense?

Yep relays are all good. All splices in the harness are deffinetly factory made. It appears as if power goes to the first realy ( the one with the two orange wires) then down to the sending unit (two pronged with gray plug). The current appears to travel from the first relay down th orange...
