    Still Misfireing

I believe it may be a sticking valve because it is real bad sometimes and other times very little. Always on #2 cylinder though. Just a thought

    Still Misfireing

I have a 92 xj 4.0 I have had a misfire problem for a while. I have tried to troubleshoot this issue with no luck. I have narrowed it down to cylinder #2 that is misfireing. I have put in new cap/rotor/wires/plugs and a new set of injectors. Also has new fuel pump and filter. The fuel...

    89 Cherokee question

The injectors wont work if the plug on top of them is disconnected. Try checking for spark cause it sounds like its getting fuel.

    intermittent rough idle

I think it may be a clogging injector. If i floor it for a sec it will clear up for a few minutes then go right back to it. I put some more Techron in it. See if that helps. Is there any way to take them out and clean them? I know i should replace but i have a real tight budget. I am going...

    Rough idle + 7MPG

Pressure at idle was about 31 psi. I checked the regulator by unplugin the vaccum to it and it jumped up about 10 psi which is right by the book. So that is good so its probly the pump

    Rough idle + 7MPG

I broke down and got a fuel pressure gauge. Turns out its losing pressure after being turned off. It drops off all the way to zero. That means the fuel pump is bad i think.

    Rough idle + 7MPG

This problem has ben hagging me out for quite a while now. I have a 92 XJ cherokee with the 4.0 I have been getting about 6-7 MPG which is terrible even for a jeep. Also when idleing it runs slightly rough almost seems like its getting too much or not enough fuel. As soon as the gas is pushed...

    Rocker arms

I am going to replace my rocker arms soon on my 92 xj 4.0 I have a repair book but it isnt very detailed. It says to put #1 cylinder to Top Dead Center and then remove the rockers a 1/4 turn at a time. Can you then just take out the rest or do you have to put #2 to TDC to get those out and...
