Thanks. I will look into these. As far as how it went, I guess the rod bearings broke, but it was something more because - it only starting making a noise one night and then I had it checked out the next morning and they said it was shot no repairing it, but drive it until it dies and it died...

I have a 99 Wrangler with 124,000 miles on it and the engine just went. I am trying to figure out what to do with it. I have to mechanics who have told me they cannot find an engine for it so would have to rebuild and that is pricy. Any thoughts?
