Could be that there's another spacer washer or something, does the pulley look like it's really close to any of the metal behind it?

Very well could be volaredon, the ones advanced sold me when I replaced mine a few months ago had made in the usa stamped on it but that's just 1 case, so I wouldn't doubt it man lol

    headlights

Could be the high beam switch, I know I had to replace the switch on my 88' XJ because it went out and I had no headlights at all.

Size of tire I can fit

I fit 30's without a lift, a buddy of mine runs 31's with a mild 2" lift, so with that much lift you should be ok running 33's

Cherokee Country Runs ruff then dies

X2, the IAC (Idler air control valve) was the 1st thing that came to mind for me too, possibly the TPS sensor too but usually they make the engine idle high when they start goin out. It doesn't idle high when it warms up does it?

    2005 GC Limited any good?

I'm not too big on the independent axles but if its a great price then I'd go for it man, only 63k is fairly low mileage as well. Kind of a judgment call I guess but I'd definitely be tempted myself lol

Hub bearing Q what's the difference?

Timken is the factory equipment for Jeeps, and they're always better then the cheapo chinese store brands. Its like comparing the store brand to Spicer brand parts. And Timken is made in the USA, always a plus! lol So ya id go with the Timkens if at all possible.

Waste of a Jeep, but fun to watch.

A bunch of spoiled rich kids (some older but act like kids) decide to buy 2 XJ's and bash them, a waste of time, money, and 2 perfectly good XJ's. Just gotta say though, would a Blazer, Durango, or Explorer etc. take all that abuse and keep going? Jeep!

    255/70r16

Ya a 70 series sidewall may give you just enough room, but I run 30x9.50's on my 88 XJ with no rubbing.

    Starter wont disengage

Had similar problems on other vehicles and it was usually the solenoid but theres a number of things it could be, just have to run through them all.

Hell ya man 170k aint nothin on a 4 liter if its been taken decent care of.

    Unidentified part

Not sure about under the dash but I know on an 88 XJ on the passenger side under the dash behind the plastic kick panel is the ECM, bout as big as a CB radio with a wiring harness running into it. However, I wouldn't expect the engine to start at all if you disconnected it.

    The results of hard wheelin'

So I had this constant grinding and popping noise in my front end a few weeks ago, it finally got so bad that driving home from work one night it was actually pulling my steering wheel to the left. I figured it was the wheel bearing so the next morning I took the tire off, tried to turn the hub...

    Sagging rear end solutions?

I would say just find a stock replacement leaf pack at a u-pull it lot too, and like 54CJ3B said, be very careful! lol If you're wanting a lift then it would make sense to just buy a taller add-a-leaf kit but if you just want you factory ride height restored then just find a leaf pack that isn't...
