Thanks for all of your replies guys! I am just going to hold off and get a new tub next year. This tub makes me wonder what it actually is. The floors have been replaced with just sheetmetal and angle iron. It has no toolbox under the seat. Hell even some of the frame mounts are not...

76 body tub on 75 frame

Will a 76 cj5 body tub fit on my 75 cj5 frame? I know the windshield frames are different, but if I use my 75 frame-windshield, will everything else work for me. Will this also work with my new softop? I found this body tub to rebuild and I am hoping to pull this off without having to get a...

75 cj5 Up and at it- almost!

It's been awhile since I posted last. Too much has been done to the Jeep, more than I wanted! The latest problem with the Jeep is the suspension. Rides like a tank. Crawled up the rear, and the shackle is horizontal. That'll jack things up a bit. I don't know much about what has been done. It...

    Ball Joint R&R

I am in the process of putting upper and lower ball joints on my wifes jeep. 75 cj5. As I was pressing out the upper ball joint, the bottom blew out! So basically the O.D. of the ball joint is still in the steering knuckle, while the ball and socket sets on the bench! Any ideas on how...

    clutch pedal spring

Yea, it looks tight in there! The spring is already hooked on the top of the pedal arm. I need to know where on the bottom of the spring it connects to. There seems to be nothing to hook it to.

    clutch pedal spring

Hey guys, I got a 75 cj5. What or where does the spring on the clutch pedal hook to? I am talking about the long spring that is attached at the top of clutch arm under the dash-inside the jeep-and hangs down. I don't see anywhere to hook on -I assume the floor someplace? Thanks!

    heater hoses sizes

This is for wifes 75 cj5. 304ci, 3 speed. The heater core has 1/2" barbs, while the fitting at back of engine is 3/4" barb. I just wanted to know what fittings, size etc some other cj5 owners have on their rig. Thanks!

    heater hoses sizes

I am trying to hook up my heater core. The fittings are 1/2" for the core and 3/4" to engine and water pump. Did Jeep use connectors to reduce down to fit? I don't have anything to go by. Wasn't hooked up when I got it. Thanks!

    steering column

I got home from the junkyard with a cadillac column. It has tilt and the telescoping feature. The indicator switch assembly will need to be replaced though. It feels a little funky. The column has a 1inch shaft. I haven't counted the splines yet, but I seem to remember 46 as the number...
