    I were right just got off the phone with a guy about 45 minutes away with a head off of an 85 that he says is in good shape with a new aluminum valve cover for 100 bucks! Do you know how I can verify the head is what he says it is?

    What would you do if it were you policemonkey161? Would you cobble it together or do it now and do it right? Does the newer head sound like a good idea to raise compression?? This sucks

    I put in ballast and had the same thing! Called autometer and they said to put a 10k ohm resistor in series with signal wire. Tried that no dice! So I called autometer back and now they say I need their 30 dollar tach filter. Go figure! At any rate it's on it's way so we shall see!

    It looks to me like the shackles are longer than the brackets that attach the front end and if that is the case I would think the spring would set lower in the rear allowing the pinion to rotate downward.? Maybe not that's just the way it looks to me. Ill get the inclinometer out this afternoon!
