i have 31" bfg mud terrains and they are great on and off road not noisy at all maybe to the car next you but thats it and i got about 40,000 miles on them with half the tread left just rotate them every 3 to 4000 miles

go with the tj ive had both and currently have an 03 tj from experence the wrangler is mutch better off road and alot more fun. just remember chics dig the wrangler with the top down and it feels so nice in the summer. but with that budget id go with a 98 or 99 tj that wasnt used off road that much.

there only worth what someone is willing to pay for them... but yeah brand new $500 is a good deal
