my 97 tj was doing that. afterhaving a mechanic look at it, we replaced the cam censor. all good now,starts and run great:-)

i had one just like it. tough truck,ran great but burned more oil than gas lol. icouldn't kill it, sold it for $500. the darned thing is still running around lol. i don't think you would go wrong,they have good parts

i got mine for my wrangler at hellroaring.com. they custom them for your rig. a little pricey but worth the money.

one suggestion,i made my hoop from left over muffler pipe. seems strong,yet light weight. i have slid into a tree, no damage. looks good, just try to lighten

the weight makes a difference if in mud/snow. floating on the top is better than sinking. my bumper weights in at 175lbs

you should also consider weight. also if offroading approach angle. mine i built is a little to long for the approach, modifying later.you can see it in the tj reader rides

maybe look on the top of the springs if there is a thick bushing probably 2"thick then yuo have a small lift
