sounds like my old cherokee,not useing all the gas because it can't breath. i never did hear any backfiring, just lost power,then died.itook mine to a muffler shop,they agreed with me after some test they did. so i took it home and cut it out. should be fouling plugs? just my thoughts.

with that amount of miles i suspect the catalitic converter. my old cherokee quit on me, cut it out, ran great after that.just a thought,good luck

i have had my flowmaster for 3 years no problems. any muffler shop can make the headers fit the2.5 pipe

not sure on the fix, my heater control switch is bad, new one on the way. as for dismantling, simple,pop out the vent next to the winshield,should be four clips,just pry gently,next remove 2screws under it,then remove 1 screw behind ash tray. then pull gently from topand bottom, should be 2 side...

my tj is doing the same thing,my mechanic found a bad ball joint. goes in today for repair. keep the tj, the ride is better.

johnnyo is correct. we have ours sipped and if you watch it we seem to get around pretty well. we live in mt and we get a lot of winter to test them lol.offroad ,we air down to 6/8psi and have a blast. we average around 25/30thousand miles with on/off road use.
