    Roving Wire Taps?

Where does it end? Go back and read the quote that 90Xjay posted and if you still believe that this is right.....then go back and read the quote that 90Xjay posted. Repeat as necessary.

More Versatility. More Elbow Room. More Jeep!

The only major mechanical part on a YJ that is superior to the CJ version is the front axle, and it wasn't introduced for the YJ to begin with. The rear AMC20 and D44s that CJs used would be my choice before that D35 anyday. An iron Spicer18, Dana20, or Dana300 is also stronger than that NP231...

easy proformace parts for a V8

You need to find out more about your engine before anyone could make any real recommendations. There are a million different Chevy head castings and they will be the biggest determining factor. There will more than likely be a casting mark on the ends of the heads that will identify them, or you...

More Versatility. More Elbow Room. More Jeep!

Pretty much everyting that AMC did in their initial redesign was to make it more mainstream. The goal was to make it more appealing to non Jeepers. they wanted to improve the onroad performance, and sacrificed offroad ability to make it happen. I love the YJ, but it started this whole downward...

easy proformace parts for a V8

A Chevrolet motor? Which cylinder heads have you got? Do you know the compression ratio? What is the combination now? How is the rest of the Jeep set up and how will you be using it? It's easy to get power out of a smallblock Chevy with the right combo.

    88 YJ in the mountains?

If it can't make it over the mountain, just push that turd over the side and be done with it. You got that thing fully insured?

More Versatility. More Elbow Room. More Jeep!

Ummm, excuse me guys but.....the roots of the Wrangler? hahahahaha:rofl: You mean the YJ? They took a CJ and made it more carlike.....you know, so they could sell more of them. Oh man, I can't even finish this post now. Nevermind, carry on.

    need help with v-8 conversion

There are different ways to go at it. Your best bet is contact Advance Adapters or Novak and get one of their guides for the specific swap if you're really serious about it and don't have an example to study first hand. I tend to favor a complete engine/trans/tcase swap instead of going the...

    American Industry

Look back at domestic cars built prior to the mid seventies and compare them to the vehicles available in ANY other market in the world at the time. There was no comparison. While foreign countries were mass producing little drafty motorcycle engine powered deathtraps, the vehicles made in the...

    Professional courtesy?

I don't really see what the big deal is Sparky. My thoughts on the matter are inline with TCs, and I don't feel like I have insulted or put down Mingez by having those views. What did he say that was so bad? I just don't see the point in all of the drama here. Oh well, I'm done with...

    Professional courtesy?

Ladies, ladies.....calm down, no need to pull hair over this.:p It's not there for people to collect simply because they choose to not work anymore. People who abuse it like that are the reasons that legitimate candidates sometimes have such a hard time collecting. It's also the same reason...

Dingus, this is anything but nonsense. If people cared more about history, we wouldn't be as quick to sell ourselves out like this. What we have ALL done regarding our country's trade practices is a disgrace. The quality gap between domestics and imports is almost gone. The perception of the...

    Body lift or shackles?

4" springs, BL, shackles, and TJ flares....you could fit 36s.

    Body lift or shackles?

TJ flares would be my first choice if you don't mind cutting sheetmetal. They give more clearance, they update the look of the Jeep, and nothing about your setup really changes. There are pluses and minuses of both the BL and the longer shackles......it's a toss-up depending on your preferences...

    Flowmasters

Alot of people complain of a drone inside the Jeep with the top up at certain engine speeds, but it seems to be more of a problem when it's accompanied by a gutted cat. I personally love the sound of them on the Jeep sixes.
