Where I live, there are tons of jeeps, all being driven by high school seniors. I think I'm the poorest person around... There are 3 people that I see on a regular basis going to and from work that have some pretty sweet jeeps. 1 rubicon and 2 XJ's. I get waves from them almost everyday...

Good times. Sand lake is an awesome place. I was there about 6 or so years ago with a buddy and his old school land cruiser (the ones that look kind of like a jeep wrangler). I don't know what part of the lake it was, but we rolled that thing down a long hill. I figure it must have gone over...

Just having the jeep stock it will do a lot more than you think it can. Once you can start pushing it's limits, then you're doing some rough wheelin'. They really can do a lot without any modifications.

I reccomend a lot of liquid wrench. That unibody rusts together with everything it touches...

So my 2000XJ wanders. Duh, it's a jeep. But has anyone else ever felt like their steering is just really loose? Beyond the normal amount of play it'll have? I'm not sure if it's the new shocks along with new tires finally getting broken in, or something else more sinister...It just feels...

I wouldn't mind taking it somewhere somewhat soft here in the near future. I think I may be having an axle(?) issue, and am a little nervous. It may be nothing and I'm just paranoid...Just worried that I'm gonna lose a tire and rim as I'm driving down the road...

Finally back. It has been way too busy. Spent a buch of time camping out at Wallowa Lake out by Joseph, OR. Awesome riding out there. There were a few places I was a little afraid to go. Rough stuff. Cougars and bear all over the place. Deer hanging out in your campsite. Big Lake, and...

I spent a good chunk of the weekend out on the boat in the Willamette river fishing. Caught a couple of good sized sturgeon, but didn't keep them. Didn't really feel into eating likely radioactive sturgeon...Definitely a good time though. P.S.- Then we had our beers to celebrate a successful...

Duder's, I haven't been on here in a while, and it sounds like I missed a good one. I did get to spend a good bit of time on the beach though. Thaqt's was a good time. Got any pictures?

So Completelyhis also says: Tried jacking it up and running without the cap on. Fan is turning well, but the radiator is cold. He's put on 2 thermostats, brand new. It's a brand new rebuilt engine with all new parts put on.

I haven't really got that far either. I have a little bit of lift and better tires and stuff now, but there's always a long way to go. A long road paved with the shells of empty wallets.

I had family that lived in Lebanon. Not too far out. There are also a few good places somewhat close to Eugene.

I can't find any mention of memaloose any more. There were a bunch of trails out there, but there had been talk of closing them at one point. Maybe that' has happened. http://atv.prd.state.or.us/images/pdf/atv-map.pdf This has a list of places across the state though with good info.

You can also look up Memaloose. Down the gorge a little ways. TSF is definitely a good area. They have full maps and everything. All sorts of different levels of trails. Gets pretty muddy up there to.
