I have a 1975 Amc 360 with a 4bbl carb. My issue is that it is running extremely lean. It will run for a bit, like 1-2 min, then it dies out. I have tried to turn up the choke, make it less lean, before it died out. The only way it stays running is if I stay on the throttle. Anyone know...

So I've been using the fin steel wool but it doesn't get everything off. Would it be a bad idea to use a thicker grit or any suggestions for something else?

Unfortunately, its been put on pause. I haven't been able to work on it while away at college. but the last thing I did to it was drop in a 360, that sounds and feels really nice. The paint is actually smurf blue and its a good bit damaged and weathered which is why I'm looking for a new color...
