About a week ago I noticed when I turned right on the last switchback coming up my driveway that my jeep momentarily lost power. At first I thought maybe my foot slipped off the gas pedal. Twice today while coming back to town it did it also. Both times I was at a near stop making a right hand...
I don't think I'd try putting it into 1st gear going much faster than 5mph. I've driven a lot of old vehicles that had little shifting issues but once you learned them and how to bypass the issue they shifted well. Sometimes it's helpful to be just barely rolling before you put it in first or...
Ya, they are easy to remove/install. Probably the hardest part of the job is getting the nut loose. If it's stuck, spray some PB Blaster on it - maybe wait a day for it to work.
What surprised me is you don't have to have a knee cap. Several yrs ago my BiL fell and broke is knee cap in two. The first surgeon didn't do a good job, the cap was rebroke twice in rehab. On the 5th surgery they removed his knee cap and threw it away because of infection. His recovery after...
Our grandson was the only one who's job was affected by covid. They shut down and he got a raise drawing unemployment. He is now back to work. All our kids kept working although masks and social distancing has been in effect.
Before the blower motor went out on the XJ I used to have it would struggle to turn on the slow speeds but worked on high [or was it the other way around??] Anyway by the time it got bad enough to replace it would only run on one speed. Replacing the motor fixed it but your issue sounds different.
My 2010 jk is that way, the light goes on the first time the temps drop below freezing. That light is extra sensitive - it lights up if any of the tires drop below 34psi.
I installed a back up camera on my wife's Corolla. It installed just above the license plate and gives a good view of what's behind her car. The mount is adjustable so you can fine tune just what you want to see.
Maybe it originally came from something different.
20 yrs ago that joint went bad on my 76 F100 4x4. Unable to find a suitable replacement I took a front axle end [pontiac?] and modified it to fit. Still works good today ;)
That's a new one on me! I was thinking a real duck which reminded me of a goose walking up my mountain driveway yrs ago. It was preventing me from getting home. I'd ease up to it and bump it with the bumper of my XJ and it would fly 20' and go back to walking. We repeated this process all the...
I have a 2 door jeep jk and it works for us but as noted the back seat isn't very accessible for adults. I prefer the looks and maneuverability of the shorter jeep. My wife would prefer a 4 door jeep for the rare times we have back seat passengers .... but we do have a four door car for most of...
