    Tennessee wheeling pictures(sorry 56k)

The last one shows how steep it is. Looks like fun if you can keep it straight. I'll try it.

Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less.

First I've heard of that. Smells of Communism. That would never, ever, ever happen anyway. Oil companies can buy enough votes to slam those motions in 2.4 seconds.

    Tennessee wheeling pictures(sorry 56k)

Trails look interesting by the way. How many trails? How many acres? Not too far of a drive for me. I like the challenge of being #3 up that trail you speak of. Got pictures of it?

The dreaded ball joint/knuckle breakage...my vote for one of the worst breaks you can have. Same happened to a YJ in our group a month ago. We strapped a log under the leaf spring and my Jeep and an LS1 buggy dragged him almost 2 miles back to the highway. Pretty entertaining when we dragged...

tire suggestions for street driven TJ

BFG All Terrain TA/KO. Not the cheapest but good in the rain, sleet, snow, dry and pretty good offroad. Plus they look good. I have had three different sets on three different vehicles and all balance well and wear evenly. If it were a plain old 2wd pickup of car I would say Michelin.

    how many cj's running a 360?

If you rebuild the engine, replace the aluminum timing chain cover with a brand new one. The lower end of the cover is also the housing for the oil pump. They get worn from years of debris passing through the pump. Worn oil pump housings are the most common cause of low oil pressure in the...

    Need help with my Yj

Sounds more like you were killing your YJ. How deep was the water...Headlights or higher? Did it ingest water through the carb? Is there water in the engine oil? Water in gas maybe.

Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less.

If Kuwait and Iraq gave us oil, that would validate the claims that America only gets involved in conflicts when there is oil at stake. Funny thing about that, I don't recall there being any oil in Europe, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Grenada or Bosnia.

Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less.

I say drill offshore and ANWR, but do it responsibly...not a free for all. Where it gets cloudy to me is the claims that all our refineries are supposedly at capacity and they haven't built any new ones in ages. So the question becomes can we refine it if they do tap into new resources or was...

What manual transmission works with a 258 i6 and a D300 transfer case?

What axle gears are you running? The auto is probably 1:1 in 3rd gear. Can't get any better than that without an Overdrive and the motor probably doesn't have enough power to push 35's if you had a 5 speed overdrive manual. I would suggest throwing some 4.10's in the axles. If that doesn't...

What manual transmission works with a 258 i6 and a D300 transfer case?

T176 four speed. You should be able to trade your auto for all the components you need without problem...even your clutch and brake pedal assembly. Lots of people going with autos these days. You will need the pedal assy, clutch assy, flywheel, bellhousing, transmission, transmission to...

    Dana 30 questions 78 CJ7

This won't answer your entire question, bu tmay help: Jeep Axle: AMC 20 and here: Jeep Axle: Dana 30 I'm pretty sure the carrier you have is for the AMC 20, but I don't know what ratio it covers. You will have to measure the thickness of the flange and try to research from there.

    Ignition problems?

Could be the ignition, but might still be the carb. Check your vacuum advance to the distributor. Did you have the vacuum advance disconnected when you checked the timing?

    Dumb question

Simple answer is pressure. When you drive, high pressure is created outside your vehicle due to the displacement of air around the vehicle. The interior is not subjected to as much of a pressure change since it is out of the airstream. A vacuum of sorts is created by the high pressure sucking...

Yep. Quadratec or 4WD Hardware have all the various styles and even have blanks if you want to make your own cutouts. I just had a piece of aluminum sheared with a 1" lip bent at the bottom for rigidity. Then I cut all my own holes so I could use larger Autometer gauges and move the stereo...

    CJ7 Axle Strength(stock20and 30)

Your'e right, it gets expensive quickly. My advice would be to go to some trail rides and see what you like. Take it easy on your stock axles, they will break with 33's if you bounce, rev and dump the clutch. When folks say 1pc rear axles, they are referring to the axle shafts, not the housing...
