Yeah while the engine is idling. It's almost the same sound when pull a wire off the spark plug while the engine is running. But a little more muffled and much quicker in succession. Checked the cap and spark plugs. Plugs show signs of use but are in good shape overall.

The carb is a weber 38/38 dges outlaw. Its been on the jeep since January 2011. I'm in Chicago and I think we use 10% I can keep it running if I keep it over 1500 rpm. But even then it's pretty rough and shakes the jeep.

Is a 4.2 and from memory I have blk/red/orange-wht/and orange. Blk to ground,red to the coil(+ post) /orange for light and orange-wht to power(tapped into the gas gauge).

It's factory and strangely enough it's also magnetic..

I have installed the painless wiring kit 10110 in my 77 7 and everything works better except the tach.. I know the purple wire goes to the negative on the coil. But the engine won't start when it's wired like that. When I move the wire to the positive post on the coil the tach works but the...
