    motor sitting at angle

Did you put in a Transfer-case drop kit?? If so, that's the culprit. No worries, that's supposed to happen, and alot of people with lifts run them that way. The purpose is to decrease the driveline angle.

Finishing what I started (55 Willys truck)

Yeah...got to thinking about it..... a couple of hours of my time and a few $$. It was not worth my life, other peoples lives, and my rig. So If the rain holds out this weekend, I'm gonna re-flare all the fittings, and finish up the new ones. This all is assuming that the Holley rebuild goes...

Finishing what I started (55 Willys truck)

OK people, BIG question. Apparently when I was 16, I didn't know that there was such thing as a double flare on a break line. I only knew of single flares. QUESTION: On the existing fittings I had already installed, I obviously used a single flare, now that I know such thing as a double...

Man Convicted For Driving Drunk In Toy Barbie Car

I do agree with that. A Public Intox. would be MORE fair, but it was still a crappy deal. At least with that his drivers liscense wouldn't have been hurt. I've spent MANY evenings standing in the middle of the road (small addition) chatting with the neighbors, drinking a cold one. If a...

Man Convicted For Driving Drunk In Toy Barbie Car

Yup...Operating a motorized vehicle. But, that's a little Nazi-ish. I bet he got REAL lippy with the officer.

    Ever See a Doodle Jeep?

We've got a Labradoodle, at least we're pretty sure that's what she is (got her at the Human Society). She looks exactly like that, but black with a brown beard. They do make good dogs, and have a great tempermant. If it's like mine, you be happy. Of course mine just might be a pretty mutt-dog.

    clicking noise?

I've heard of the transmission fluid fix too, but I heard it mixed 50/50 with kerosene (sp?) It is supposedly an old timer fix for starting up engines that have sat for years. I myself have never done it though.

    tube doors??

Tube doors are good if you wheeling hard enough, to the point you have a chance of roll-over. Then they keep legs and arms from flinging around so much. But for everyday wheeling, and on-the-road, nothings as good as running doorless. Kick your foot up on the tub and roll. I do agree with...

    transmission whinning/wont go into gear??

I would guess throw-out bearing also. When you put pressure on it, it goes away. BUT, troulble going into gear also sounds like syncronizers to me. Could also explain the whinning noise. Does it "grind" between gears a little? From my experiance when throw-out bearings go, they go quick...

    lift install

Jackbotz...did you get the rear track bar "extension" bracket that R.C. sent you? Did you install it? If you didn't get one, I've got on you can have (I took my rear track bar off years ago). If it's the front giving you problems, buy the quick-disconnects from them, they have PLENTY of...

    the jeep needs a name!!!

Give it a while, wait 'til you bust a knuckle on "her" while wrenching, and I bet you'll come up with a name, right off the tip of your tongue. It will be spur of the moment, and you probably call her "BB" for short (still keeping with the brown theme).

    lift install

I gonna say that where they "lean", is where they'z gonna "lean". That's going to be the natural angle for them from here on out. I do wonder why they are leaning in though. I've got the same kit pretty much (from Rough Country, bommerangs and all <front>) and mine "lean" out a little about...

    tube doors??

Dang, that dude's making money. $75, and all he's got to do is grab some stock, throw some bends into it, box it and sell it. No welding, no "fabbing" no worries. That is smart. Robo83, if I were to go this route, I would buy the stock, buy or borrrow a hand conduit bender, and have at it...

IF you had to get new M/T's, which ones?

Yeah, like I said they ARE a cheap tire. But, they turned out to be a good choice I think. I was told by a tire guy once that if you can grab the lug on a tire and squeeze it ( compress the rubber with finger pressure) that they will hold up well. His theory behind that was that the "softer"...

Wrangler JK 4 door rear seat question

OH SNAP!!! Here we go again! Didn't we just go around like this a couple of months ago?? Seems like it was a guy wanting the "round about it all, super charged, hemi powered Jeep"? He got offended REAL quick when things didn't go his way. Then it got Nutz from there. Lomofo, lighten up my...

    boomerang shackles

1" of shackle lift is ok. You might end up needing a few castor shims, but that is not a big deal. Yes, is can help with spring inversion if they are installed correctly. That being with the "V" pointing towards the center of the vehicle. I run boomerangs on mine, and it seemed to help the...
