Your Favorite All Time Jeep Photos

Capt. Solberg, ...loved our chat and I am so missing you. The fact you are going to The Sahara just gripes me and you are going to love it. The history, the repose, the unlimited Desert Commons, in ways you've not ever seen in this hemisphere is going to rock big time. Incredible. So jealous...

    Bin laden is dead!

Obama: He is our President. Differ or not, we are to provide the just respect due him and our President as he is. If that is an issue, that is what elections are for. Beyond that. I salute him for what he condoned, and the TEAM that did so. Robert

    Bin laden is dead!

Odd this, we look down from the Shuttle orbiter and there are no borders. We are riding this together. Odd, an Osama type on this type of world. Sad as well. May he burn nicely.

    Question for Slush Boxers?

Explain better, this quoted from you, as I do not understand the lingo that well. I've been stuck with the T-18 and standard shifting or these 46 years and it has not hindered me at all, thus, I am out of the loop save for very heavy equipment, like this: Caterpillar D11 The cab opening is 6'3"...

    Question for Slush Boxers?

Ok, how does it do off road, slithering over steep, screwed up territory? In very very heavy equipment over the last 40 years since they put auto trans in them, they are killer off road and in the rough. This CAT 518 I ran for Canyon Logging up in Montana 40 years ago, had the auto and it...

    Extended brake lines

I think probably all the steel braided lines are good, but I used the J & S long steel braided lines from AutoAnything: 1983 Jeep CJ Goodridge G-Stop Brake Lines It works for me to get the 4' of wheel travel in VEX's front end. Hope that is helpful. Robert

    Question for Slush Boxers?

In these 46 years I've never had a slush box (Automatic Trans.) in a Jeep. With that question, for all you that run them, what is the biggest and nastiest 4 speeder that can fit into a CJ7 with the Dana 300 TC? Thank you everyone who know these things for answering me on this. Robert

Help me with an offer on this Jeep, Please.

All good questions. At that link in the post above, therein the details and specs of all mods and no, I do not do that often-- In that case with the truck, all the tow rigs that were summoned by the company that owns the truck, couldn't get in front of the truck to help, so the owners of...

Help me with an offer on this Jeep, Please.

No ignorance whatsoever and a very valid question sir. Ok, bare with me a minute on this. Ok, about 12 Jeeps back (35 years)), I got the idea of putting winches on both ends of my Jeeps, as I learned the hard way that I very seldom wanted to winch myself deeper into a screwup-- and I AM ALWAYS...

Help me with an offer on this Jeep, Please.

This is a fun thread, with all the smartass and hilarious comebacks (in good fun and nature) and I really enjoyed this a lot. The one poster that said, above, paraphrasing, "we post all this stuff of grandeur and now, we are dissenting against a Jeep with some sheet metal work" --right on...

    Question on D44s or D60s

Extremely hard. Around the world. Its been in 123 of the world's 195 countries and outside the US, the world is narrow, and rough and in most places where I go and end up, there are no roads at all--so its cross country and very very rough at times. Thanks, Robert

    Question on D44s or D60s

Here's mine: I have 1 tons DLs W/CVs at the TC end on each, Dana 300 with 4:1 and the T-i8 but the rest of the Jeep is one ton status. The tires are 9.50x33". I don't run wide tires and chains make up for this in all conditions. Also, I had it backwards and you are correct about the...

    Question on D44s or D60s

I understand. This is my 26th Jeep over 46 years. It just already weighs 5985 pounds and with the 60s installed that I have, it comes in at 6530 for overseas shipping. I already have ARBs in my lighter set up and a T-18 Tran with 7.71 to 1 low and the 4:1 in the transfercase. I just want...

    Question on D44s or D60s

Hi everyone, My Dana 60s are almost done for VEX but I also found a deal on a pair of 44s for a CJ-7 with ARBs installed. The 60s really add to an already very heavy Jeep and since all of you know how VEX is set up, for those that have ran both, I am thinking of going with the D44s instead of...
