    Hey Howdy

Where I was a station manager for Skinnymutt, I'm now back on the road as a driver for an airport shuttle bus company and, in compared to recent years I'm making more $ too. It's a great feeling not to have to daily make excuses for a company that you know is... well.... not a good one. Had to...

    Hey Howdy

Just wanted to post a hello to everyone I've missed. Had a career change that was devastating in some ways and others not. Hope everyone's staying clear of that damn virus!

    Anyone else stuck at home?

I'm a driver for an airport limo bus, (Greyhound refugee) been sitting bored out of my gourd for a week now. Black Betty is okay, just a few small things to attend to but damn, what's a minimum wage recently 58 year old driver to do?

CJ5 Spare Tire Rack- looking to buy

If you're lucky enough to have a tailgate, you got it made. I had to get creative with supporting the weight of my wheel/tire on my little CJ5 Black Betty.

    Needing a diagram

One thing to consider with jeep grounds... BASIC WIRING 101, Getting You Started! - JeepForum.com On Black Betty I tore a grounding bus bar out of an electrical breaker panel, ran 6 gauge from my negative battery teming to it, than ran all of my underhood, lighting and other grounds to it...

    Still squealing

There are some clods out there that let their belts squeal for weeks/months. If one takes too long to address this issue with V belts the pulleys get polished and there's nothing left to do but press on new pulleys to the shafts. I hope this isn't the case with yours. :?|

    Somebody help the new guy

Likely aT150 transmission as my Black Betty is. Although one of my stalled projects is to convert the Ford T18 I have.

Turbogus' long slow Team Rush upgrade

Black Betty is still running strong even following winter storage. I don't want to jinx it but I think I'm finally on top of it.

    Seat Covers or New Seats?

I was at Canned Foods last year and found super cheap zebra pattern seat covers for only $5/pr. (I wish I bought more than one pair) they fit my Corbeaus just right and keeps the crud off of them. My Corbeau seats are nearly new.

    Time for tires again

Geez, I've had the KM2's on Black Betty for so long they'll probably rot out before I'll wear 'em out. Guess I'm a fair weather jeeper eh?

Carter AFB will not idle down

Counter intuatively I rotated the e choke in the opposite direction and after taking it for a spin it idles down just fine at long last :)

Turbogus' long slow Team Rush upgrade

Since my CJ runs a breakerless ignition there's no points, just rotor and cap. Blue Streak has made stellar ignition parts for decades but you'll have to hit their website for points applications

Turbogus' long slow Team Rush upgrade

The 'difference' is when I turn in bed the mask deforms and start blowing air into my eyes. I loathe this 'snake oil' device, for reasons I mentioned earlier in this thread...:p

Turbogus' long slow Team Rush upgrade

It's a good thing I kept on using that damnable CPAP, I got thouwn out on my @ss from my 29 year long work at a bus station and now I'm driving again.

    JK snorkel thoughts?

...not to mention adding a snorkel for the tailpipe as well for fording. As our M151's when I was in the Marines.

Modern insturment panels with 'stab in gauges'

Edit: I went to my shop owner 'go to' guy and using an LED flashlight also noticed the gaps and he reccomended just pressing these tabs down with a pair of picks or screwdrivers equally on each side to bend the tabs into position once again. I sure as heck don't like this design, but what else...

Modern insturment panels with 'stab in gauges'

Oh Man, you'd think with my constant reccomendations about JeepHammers' threads that I'd have thought of this first. These type of gauges only make slight contact with no solder. The Circuit Board itself is pliable that compromises the connections. Is there some way to solder these for...

Modern insturment panels with 'stab in gauges'

Man, I hate these things. this may cross over to Jeeps later than mine but with the way the auto industry is going I thought I'd show some photos of what I'm contending with for errant gauge readings. Note: I am NOT a know it all, I'm learning as I go as I have found very little information...
