I agree. My 2000 grand has 230,000 and has been well taken care of and i would drive it from Cali to New York and back with no problems. If it starts good and runs good with no major leaks of anykind then your good to go just keep changing the oil and filter, plus air and fuel flters.

Its possible you have a bad battery? your Alt is charging at high engine speeds but at idle it wont charge enough to keep your engine running... You could get your battery checked at most auto stores. its a start I hope this helps.

SteelHeadz "or a battery disconnect to clear the PCM" SteelHeadz brought this up at the start of your thread. did you disconnect the battery for 12 to 24 hours. My mail man told me about this trick to clear codes and lights etc...

Re: Same problem Sorry to bring up this old thread but I am having the same problem as these guys. I see the thread was never resolved.I suspect the MAP sensor vacuum line might have been leaking air, would that cause the engine to fail after warm up ?

Alot of times its the simple things that go wrong, try replacing your fuel filter and see what happens. The MAP sensor is run by vacum lines so check those lines for loose connections also. I hope this helps. Mike

When ever you go from forward then to reverse and hear a sound like that its possible you have a bad U Joint in your drive line.... hope this helps

Lets say Fiat is cheating. what does that mean to us, more green house gases, better gas miles ? I still see Big factory's emmitting huge amount of smoke.. whats in those factory's smoke ? even with no smoke an ice age is coming and you better have a jeep if you want to get somewhere.

Sence you are going beyound "stock" on your Jeep, you might want to ask a stereo install shop. they may have the schematic ? i hope this helps.

No it was the heater core, it had a big O hole in it. worst part was the prior owner gluded the dash back together after a stero install.

I am going to take my 2000 Grand to this "Monster" if the heater core ever goes out again !
