New winch for my JKU Recon

I watch Matt's Off Road Recovery and Fab Rats and a bunch of others that use them a LOT more than I will.

New winch for my JKU Recon

I'll be going to Southington Off Road on 4/1 to be a fool and get stuck. I'll have both kids with me to record all of my questionable decisions...

I went with synthetic, it was only about $50 more.

    Another GC followed me home

2018 WK2 Altitude for Momma Bear. I tried to talk her into a Trailhawk but she wasn't having it.

New winch for my JKU Recon

I have a bag of recovery stuff from my last Jeep & that has a tree saver, some tow straps and shackles in it. I'm thinking about adding a kinetic rope to it.

New winch for my JKU Recon

I got the ok to get a winch for the Jeep. I grabbed the Badlands Apex 12,000. Now I'm just waiting on better weather to make my kids (10m & 18f) install it

What did you do to your Jeep today?

The other day we replaced the worn out sunroof drain hoses in the WJ for some new heavier clear tubing... now when it rains, I stay dry & the Vehicle Information Center above the rear view mirror doesn't cry either.

I bought a Grand Cherokee... I had to

No, the 247 in it is junk. I took it out playing in the little bit of snow that we got & the AWD doesn't kick in until you're already "losing" control 🙄

I bought a Grand Cherokee... I had to

After busting knuckles on the little lady's Subaru brakes, it's time once again to work on the WJ. I found a 242HD t-case (with a front shaft) to go behind the 4.7 & finally sourced a rear shaft... and now there's nothing to it but to do it. None of the donor GCs had a usable shifter bezel so...

I bought a Grand Cherokee... I had to

Not yet, I think the 247 is shot. There's a 242 (and drive shafts) down the road at a salvage yard that I may pluck. I know the front axle shafts are shot too.

I bought a Grand Cherokee... I had to

It does & it throws light a lot better too! I will admit that I'm spoiled in my Rubicon that has OEM LED headlights/fog lights... you know, the kind oncoming traffic hate. Compared to the LEDs, the halogen bulbs are just kind of a dull yellow but I'm not dropping that kind of cash into a $400 22...

I'll try to snap a pic of what they look like currently when daylight returns, I was impressed with it.

I bought a Grand Cherokee... I had to

This was earlier today while I was out & about. I romped on the skinny pedal a bit... it'll break traction when you get on it. All said right now I have just over $1,000 into it & that's including the $400 for the WJ. Like me, the headlight isn't much to look at but it functions. If I'm keeping...

I bought a Grand Cherokee... I had to

I have a headlight polishing kit (works great on soft top windows) that helped but it won't get rid of whatever's going on with the passenger headlight.

I bought a Grand Cherokee... I had to

I think I'm going to use it as a winter vehicle to keep my '18 Rubicon out of the Ohio salt. I've put $600 in parts into it & it still needs bearings for the D44 in the rear. I just changed to Akebono brakes & it's a night and day difference. I went from around 9 mpg to 19 mpg. The brakes were...
