Update, got it Muddy!!!! YES!!!
Had to filler up, am getting 12.8mpg so hope that climbs while engine breaks in, it should, plus I will be adding a new air intake and maybe do the throttle lift to that will only help more. I love it!!!:purple:
Yeah, I am not too worried about it, I will just do what I can to better it and then be happy. I have to find somthing to climb now. Anybody in the DFW area know some places to go? My neighbor said that the new addition to our housing development is going in there are some pretty good inclines...
You will love the mpg in the TDI but one thing I could not stand was the fact that I HAD to take my car into VW to get an oil change and you had to schedule it. Crazy. Other than that I only had a few things go wrong with the car like the radiator fluid leaked out twice and they had to fix...
So sounds like a conical filter setup is a better bet. So how would adding a conical filter setup and also installing a Throttle Body Spacer help the overall hp and mpg? So if you get 5hp more installing the filter would you get another 5 to 10 by installing the throttle body spacer? Also for...
So being new to Jeeps and really just off road vehicles, what is the difference between a cold air intake and a cone intake? Do they help with hp and mpg? I have seen that but there is never a definitive answer. Also, can you add one without messing with warrenty?
I decided that I want a fun vehicle and got rid of my Jetta TDI and bought the gas guzzling Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Am I crazy, give up 36mpg city for 11 to 14 (not sure yet). YES, WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!
Well meet the Jeep
Well, I am going with the automatic route, I just drive way too much in traffic to enjoy a stick. I believe I said my Jetta is a stick shift but I drive way too much in stop and go traffic that a am tired of it. So hope I do not come off like a girl but that is my reason, hehe
Ok
So does the auto perfrom any differently from the stick, I will be driving it in heavy traffic daily so that is my only concern. But if it lacks in ability due to the lack of stick shift then I will get the stick. I am at one with my manliness

I am going to be new to off roading (well, grew up as a kid off roading with my brothers but too young to drive at that time) so when out and about on the trails, will I notice a difference in performance between the auto and stick? Can you do more with the stick?

Concerning the 2006 Wrangler Unlimited, have there been any reaccuring reported issues with this Jeep. Do they go to the shop alot or are they built really well. My Jetta TDI has had multiple issues since I purchased it and when the towtrunk driver and I talked he told me that he see's more...
haha, i am loving these replies. So, say I pulled back and bought one of the short jeeps, should I look at the Sport or X? Is there a big difference? I just really love the look of the unlimited.
Yeah, I have the economy car already, Jetta TDI 36 in city 46 hwy but I can only have one or the other. I drive around 40miles a day so the gas will add up quickly. I am weighing this heavily in my decision. If I could get 18 in city driving that would be better than the indicated 14mpg that...
I am really considering buying an 06 Wrangler Unlimited but and really concerned about the MPG. I spoke with a friend of mine and told me that there was somthing you can do to the intake and the throttle link to help increase the HP and get you some better MPG. What can be done. If I can...
