The stock exhaust manifold on the Jeeps are famous for them to crack in a couple places. Looks like you got that outta the way quick, I've had mine for 5 years and I still have the cracked POS stock hedder. Welcome!

Yeah I agree, loosing ground clearence is something I don't want. The sliders that currupt has a link to is what I'm going to build for my jeep when I get the time. My wife doesn't like my jeep right now since I took the dumb nerf bars off.

You're jeep may come with lower gears in it since it's a Rubi, but the thing you need to worry about breaking are the axles. Most people upgrade to a Dana 44 with 35" tires. Your jeep has D44s front and rear, but if you put the larger tires on with stock gearing you will notice a drop in power...

I asked myself the same question when I was in the market for a lift... I went for the 6" (soa) glad I did too... BUT there are problems that eventually creep up on you. For instance, I just put a high steer on my jeep. I didn't need one, at first, but how many times do I want to change tie rod...

Getting stuck in the sand tip... IF you get stuck and don't have anything to winch to (another rig, tree, etc.) Take your spare tire off your jeep, hook your winch cable to the spare, and bury it in the sand. Creates a great anchor point if there is nothing else available.

Oh I almost forgot, the house is right around the corner from some sweet offroad places. They aren't exactly legal but I've been to both before and fun just to mess around in. 2 places less than a mile from my house... bonus!
