Last time I checked my 4.0L YJ it was roughly 17 mpg. This is with a 3 speed auto and 31" mudders. This is 70% highway. City driving is really bad, I never checked it but the fuel goes real quick in stop and go driving.

It is sad that these potentially dangerous dogs are bought by people who are not willing to take to time or put forth the effort to properly socialize these types of dogs from when they are puppies. For me, I'd never own either breed, but give me a pup and I guarantee I could raise a docile...
