If you're looking to get 2" lift on a YJ on the cheap, you'd best be served by combining a 1" body lift and maybe getting shackles that are 1 1/2" longer than stock. That'll net you about 1 3/4" total lift between the two. To get any more lift than that you really need either lift springs or...

I did a set of those in black on my first YJ. I like those wheels and they look great on your Jeep. You obviously put more effort into yours than I did mine. lol

Not shifting smoothly, and when you do get smooth shifts it will be when the RPM's are ideal to do so. The glittery oil that BH referred to is the real tell. Change the oil in it either way. Use the MT90. Lastly... why downshift into 1st gear anyhow?
