What do you guys think of the 304?

I had a "77 CJ7 with a 304 & a 3spd. The 304 had a lot of torque off the line especially in the lightweight CJ. A PO had put a Holley 750 4bbl on it which was a bit over carbed, but I never had a problem with it. You could literally start from a dead stop in 3rd gear. Watch the oil pressure...

As if I didn't have enough to contend with...

Bummer on your run of bad luck!! When it rains it pours. Just a note on using Styrofoam for your pushrod holder. When reassembling be sure to "blow out" the oil passage in the pushrods to make sure there's no Styrofoam in there. Don't ask how I learned that. Good luck & let us know how it goes!

    what is this???

Jeep made some different models for other parts of the world....many were made under contract in the countries they were sold in. That's my bet. Looks like a CJ front clip, but the rest is mighty Toyota looking...also it looks like it's a right hand drive.

    The OFFICIAL Random thread

A buddy of mine works for the Il.Tollway he says he find a lot of dress shoes on the highway on Saturday nights in the summer. His theory is that people coming home from weddings take off ther shoes for the ride home & set them on the roof when they take them off, then forget them there until...

O'Rielys Auto Parts shows group size 55 or 56. I usually just take the dimensions & get the highest CCA that will fit.
